About Us

Welcome!

I am a mum, a mum of gorgeous, precious twin daughters Jessica and Eleanor who are 9 years old. I became a mum at the age of 41 after a ten year battle with infertility and 4 losses and Jessica and Eleanor were born after our 4th round of IVF.

My Story

I absolutely love what I do and it builds on my knowledge of working with the early years sector. I have spent 11 years working for a national book charity as National Health Manager working both strategically and operationally to promote rhymetime and early book sharing throughout the UK and working with different authors and illustrators to ensure that children with a disability are represented in children’s books too.

Prior to that I have been teaching, developing accredited peer mentoring projects to Year 10 and Year 11 in bullying, sexual health and teen pregancies. I have also done some work helping young people who are in prison, reparation orders and with different drug/alcohol groups.

I have always wanted to start my own business and in 2014. I was a franchisee and started Music with Mummy in Lincoln and Surrounding Villages, , In 2017 I was a finalist for Business Mum of the Year, Franchisee of the Year, highly commended in 2018 Most Outstanding Activity Leader for Under 5’s for the East Region for the national What’s on 4 Little Ones. 2019 winner of Best Loced Activity for Under 5’s and highly commended for.

In 2019 I gave up the business because my dad was poorly, sadly my dad died on 31 December 2019, my dad was my hero, my inspiration and he was the most generous and loving person.

The name Jack in the Box Musical Memories was inspired by my dads name Jack and his love for music and the arts.

Helping Your Child Explore, Grow, & Learn

In 2020 I decided to learn about the Kodaly method of teaching music plus did Levels 1-4 and Safeguarding for Makaton.

My biggest wish is for everyone to enjoy the power of music, to enjoy learning about new learning themes and musical concepts, as well as an opportunity to meet new friends and reduce isolation.

It is great to spend time with new mums, dads, grandparents, siblings, some of them are new to Lincoln so it is a really great opportunity to promote other services in Lincolnshire that they may be interested in.

Everyone is welcome to my classes Mums, dads, grandparents, childminders and teddybears!!!

I am so passionate about music especially in early years and how the power of music can really make a difference.

I have experience of delivering intergenerational classes in residential homes bringing families and residents together.

I would be very interested in delivering sessions for nurseries please do get in touch with me.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

What Our Families are Saying

Sally and Reuben

I have known Elaine for a while when I used to attend her previous music classes. She is passionate about teaching and make sure everyone feels welcome. Great to have her back.

Caroline, Ben & Oscar

As a first time mum who suffered from post natal depression I found going out the house really difficult. Elaine went out of her way to meet me beforehand and was very kind to meet me prior to the class starting. Through the class I made friends for life. Cannot recommend the classes high enough.
